Instrument Introduction and Working Principle

Ultrasonic waves: When partial discharge occurs inside the insulation of power equipment, ultrasonic signals are generated. The ultrasonic signals are transmitted from the partial discharge source along the insulation medium, metal parts, or air to the equipment casing, and propagate to the surrounding air through the medium and gaps. By coupling ultrasonic signals generated by partial discharge in the air through ultrasonic sensors, the partial discharge situation of power equipment can be determined.

Judgment criteria
(1) The main criterion for judgment is based on the characteristics of partial discharge sound heard in the headphones during the detection process, and is determined based on the duration and frequency of the sound;
(2) Use the amplitude of the display interface and related waveform diagrams during the detection process as auxiliary judgment methods.
