The KDZD3800A handheld lightning protection component tester is used to measure the performance parameters of various varistors (MOVs) and gas discharge tubes (GDTs). Used for testing the performance parameters of overvoltage protection components such as lightning arresters, surge protectors, varistors, metal ceramic discharge tubes, vacuum lightning arresters, etc.

The instrument has functions such as high-voltage short circuit protection and overcurrent protection, as well as parameter setting, high-voltage limit setting, boost speed setting, qualified range setting, qualified judgment screening, and automatic range adjustment.KDZD3800A also has single piece testing mode and continuous testing mode functions, suitable for batch component testing. It also has testing functions for insulation resistance, absorption ratio, and polarization index.

The instrument has an output voltage of up to 3000V, a starting action voltage of U1mA, a measurement range of 50-3000V, a leakage current measurement range of 0-1000uA, and a DC breakdown voltage measurement range of 50-3000V.
